Artwork Requirements
Artwork is accepted on CD, 3-1/2" floppy disk or via e-mail (art@shieldawards.com) in the following formats:
- CorelDraw 12.0 or lower (.cdr), EPS files, and Adobe Illustrator 5.0 or lower (.ai).
- Bitmap/raster images and text are subject to additional art charges.
- Fonts MUST be converted to curves/outlines.
- Camera-ready print copy must accompany disk version.
- Artwork must be faxed for e-mailed files.
- Artwork is archived for two years.
E-Mail Procedure for Sending Artwork
- Fax proof of Artwork to (817)283-3874 and inform us that you are e-mailing Artwork.
- All artwork e-mailed or faxed should be confirmed by phone or in person when placing the order.
- When sending artwork via email, be sure to indicate the Company Name and the word Logo in the subject line.
Laser Engraving
- Clean, black and white camera-ready artwork is essential for proper laser engraving. No color files will be accepted.
- We reserve the right to determine what constitutes camera-ready art, copied or faxed artwork will not be considered camera-ready.
- All Grayscale images and Artwork requiring touch up will incur a minimum art charge of $30.00 per half hour without prior approval. We will advise if charges will exceed this minimum.

Screen Printing
- All colors must have a PMS (Pantone® Matching System) color selected.
- Colors will be matched as close as possible, but due to variations of materials and links, we cannot guarantee exact PMS color matches. We recommend ordering a sample prior to placing your order.
- Artwork returned upon request at the time the order is placed.
Laser Engraving (Paper Proofs)
- There is no charge for two faxed proofs.
- Each additional proof per order is $5.00. Please check for spelling, wording, punctuation and arrangement.
- Customer is responsible for accurate spelling of supplied information.
- After a faxed layout has been APPROVED BY YOU, any production errors will be quickly and willingly corrected.
- Any correction will be at YOUR EXPENSE unless it is a personalization or copy change where the information provided has been type written.
Trademarks
All copy or other materials submitted by the customer for use by Shield Awards will be accepted as being submitted in full compliance with all applicable laws regarding trademark, copyright, etc. Copy and trademarks illustrated in the accompanying web pages are used to demonstrate product imprinting. This does not imply endorsement by any company of our products. The logos pictured are the property of their respective companies.
